Mrs. Christl was born and raised in Granada, Nicaragua.
She attended a Catholic school from elementary through high school then
attended a Jesuit university for two years in Managua, Nicaragua. In
1983, she came to the United States to study at Louisiana State
University in Baton Rouge, LA.. After graduating from LSU with a
bachelor degree in Chemistry and marring her husband, Mark, they moved
to Huntsville in 1989. She worked for the University of Alabama in
Huntsville for several years doing research in Material Science then
took several years off to raise their three children.
Previous experience includes teaching Spanish at a local elementary
school for one year, where she discovered that she really enjoyed
teaching. She was also a substitute teacher at CHS for one year before
accepting a fulltime assignment as the Spanish teacher in 2006. She
is currently attending UAH to complete her teacher certification. She is
very happy to teach Spanish at a school where she can practice her
faith. |
