| Mr. Gustafson is a native Bavarian who moved to the United States in 1960 and has resided in Huntsville since 1965. He taught 30 years at Huntsville High School and joined the Catholic High family in 2000. Currently he is in his 40th year of education. He has taught German, French and World History at CHS. He also has sponsored the Volleyball and Softball teams. Her currently sponsors the German club, Delta Epsilon Phi (National German Honor Society) and is the foreign language department head. Over the years countless students have excelled on the National German Exam with 8 winning the top honors in Alabama and winning an all-expense paid trip to Germany. Mr. G graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in German and History. He was nominated as "Outstanding Young Educator" by the Huntsville Jaycees. He also taught German at UAH and Calhoun Community College. During the summer months, he travels extensively with students to Austria, Switzerland and Germany, a tradition that began in 1972 and continues to the present! | ||||
