Pam Loper has a bachelor’s degree in biology from UAB and a master’s degree in biology with a Class A Teaching Certificate from UAH. Although she enjoyed all her science classes, she especially enjoyed microbiology, immunology, and ecology. Her most memorable class was Tropical Ecology in the Bahamas. She has been teaching here at Catholic High School since 2005. She is happily married to Brent Loper, an aerospace engineer and has two daughters, Sammy and Sarah. Her family attends Good Shepherd Catholic Church, where she is a 6th grade catechist. Her family enjoys backpacking, camping, and visiting the National Parks. She and her husband also enjoy the theatre. Mrs. Loper hopes all her students will gain a greater understanding and appreciation for science. Mostly she wishes them the best and wants them to grow up to be good people that consider others and the environment in their decision making. |
