Laurie Porter received a B.S. in Chemistry with minors in math and music from the University of Montevallo. She then attended UAB where she earned a masters degree in Secondary Chemistry Education. Besides previously teaching high school science, she has worked in biomedical research at UAB and as a research and development engineer at Avex Electronics. She is currently the organist and Director of Music Ministries at Grace Presbyterian Church and teaches music as a volunteer in the elementary school where her youngest son attends. |
